Never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Bill and his dog

I love what you do!

When I was first out of school, we had a homeless man named Bill.  He had a German Shepard that went everywhere with him.  Every year he would come in for his rabies shot and would pay us $5 because he wouldn't take charity. The SPCA took his dog away because he didn't provide shelter for it. Bill didn't have shelter, for goodness sake.  I told the investigator that he took good care of the dog and kept it vaccinated etc. but he wouldn't budge.  Once Bill lost the dog he lost touch with reality and became more and more delusional, it was very very sad.  I was just so angry at the pompousness of the SPCA, they thought they were doing that dog such a big favor and more than likely he was euthanized as he was an older dog.  He and Bill were just fine together.  I remember him when I think of the homeless and their pets.. it is important work.

I saw this picture and i have the urge to do something to help these animals. My school is making a fundraiser for this and everyone is bringing in everything for the animals. It breaks my heart.

I believe these kind animals that love us regardless of who we are, who we want to become, are especially made for those who are down and out. You are doing God's work and for that I will be providing a donation that I know will be put to good use. God Bless you.
