Never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way. Martin Luther King, Jr.

It Ain’t Worth It

Lyrics by: Richard Farsi

Music by: Austin Corley

V1

Life ain’t nothing’ but heartache and pain

You have to fight to keep alive, work, work hard all day

And get paid to keep the blues away

Loose your job, loose tour pay

Keep on pushin’ to be on top

Getting’ no respect can make you drop, make you drop

CHORUS

Look for work and look for pay

Sometimes I just want to play

Can’t get any one to believe,

That it just ain’t worth it

It just ain’t worth it, today

V2

You want to show, show that you’re good

But you don’t get the chance you thought you would

You make it on your own

And they wanna come back to ya

So ya leave ‘em, ya leave ‘em alone

And they say that you’re no good, you’re no good

CHORUS REPEAT

Look for work and look for pay

Sometimes I just want to play

Can’t get any one to believe,

That it just ain’t worth it

It just ain’t worth it, today

~guitar solo~

CHORUS REPEAT

Oh, Look for work and look for pay

Sometimes I just want to play

Can’t get any one to believe,

That it just ain’t worth it

It just ain’t worth it, today

Today

This is so fantastic. Supporting shelters is a good thing, but the best is to support the ability of people to keep their animals with them so the animals aren't forced into situations of shelters where they may or may never get another home. Also, think about dropping off dog and CAT food at your local food bank. There are homeless there and people struggling to keep their homes and their pet companions who would be so grateful. And for every dog and cat you can keep with its human family, that is another cat or dog grateful to you and one less tragedy.

If this won't make you donate either food or money, I don't know what would. The pictures and the song breaks my heart to think this is happening in the greatest country on earth. Thank you Genevieve for all your hard work and your caring.
