As we watch the rising numbers of people becoming homeless and poverty growing with the worst economy since the depression, the need is growing too.  With a $25 gift we can feed and provide veterinary care for 3 dogs a day.  With $50 we can help over 6 dogs and $100 will help 8 dogs for a day. 

We are grateful for the support and the generosity of our many members, donors, volunteers and foundations that have given in so many ways.

Your cash gift may be made in memory or in honor of a beloved pet or a special person in your life.

Non-designated cash gifts are used for one of the grant programs. Designated cash gifts include:

• Pet Food: We purchase the pet food at wholesale through one of our partners.  The purchased pet food is shipped to the community organization of your choice (food pantry, homeless shelter, soup kitchen, so be sure to let us know.)  If you cannot locate one or one is not listed on our Collection Sites page, we will ship it to the organization that we deem the neediest. 
• Operational Expenses such as website hosting and management, postage, office supplies, printing, accounting, etc.

Credit Card Donations can be made at PayPal, Network for Good, FaceBook, and Amazon.

Please note that your contribution through these channels deduct fees ranging from 1.25% up to 4.75% to pay banks, pay credit card companies, distribute funds, and distribute receipts and other associated costs.

Bequests

By leaving a bequest to "Feeding Pets of the Homeless" in your will, you are ensuring that Pets of the Homeless can continue to feed and care for pets of the homeless well into the future. 

Pets Food and Supplies

Pet food and supplies can be donated at collection sites.  Take your donations to a site near you and look for the collection receptacle. Good items include:

• Collars
• Leashes
• Blankets
• Treats
• Flea/tick treatments 
• Pet food (Can or dry-even food your pet can’t eat or won’t eat anymore.  Opened, tape-closed bags will be accepted.)
  
  • To really help, we suggest that you bag (Ziplock freezer bags) the dry pet food, and label it.  When a homeless person has all their worldly processions in a back pack, image them carrying an additional 15-25 bag of pet food.  Individual daily serving bags are much better.

If you wish a tax receipt let the collection site know so they will forward your mailing information as well as a description of the donation item(s).

Whatever or however you donate, you are very much at the heart of Pets of the Homeless and your compassion and support is awe-inspiring.  A huge “thank you” on behalf of the pets you will be helping by allowing us to continue our work.
