Our distributing organizations-food banks, pantries, soup kitchens and shelters-are where you should go to get pet food and supplies for your pet. Be sure to ask for the pet food especially if you have left your pet elsewhere with someone else.
The distributing organizations are listed by State and City. Click on your state to confirm if there is a food bank, pantry, soup kitchen or shelter near you. If there is not, contact us to see if we can guide you to another source.
We ask that you avoid going to the actual collection site. They are not prepared to distribute the pet food. It is at food banks, pantries, soup kitchens and shelters that you will be able to get pet food and additional services with the possibility of helping you out of homelessness. As well as providing pet food, many of these organizations are realizing the importance of pet ownership. We are hoping many will start giving veterinary care on a regular basis. Check our Events page to see if a clinic is scheduled in your area. For more resources click here.
We know of a few homeless shetlers that allow pets or provide foster care for your pet. Check back periodically as we are adding new resources as we become aware of them. Homeless Shelters that allow pets
