Thank you notes from clients
“I haven’t yet been able to say thank you so much in many ways for the help that you gave me by paying my vet bill for my dog Chewy, and her broken back leg! You were there for me in a time of need and I really do appreciate that more than you will ever know! Truly a blessing to have an organization such as yours there for people like me! Thank you ever so much for all you continue to do! God Bless each and every one of you! Thanks so much for helping the pets of the homeless in times of need!” Gina
“Thank you so much, Pets of the Homeless! My cat is feeling so much better. The doctor and staff were so kind in treating her. Too many worries being homeless with a therapy cat, but now this is one less. Incredibly thankful for the services of POTH!” Bethany
Robin, a homeless woman in the Bellefontaine, Ohio area called and asked for assistance with her nine-year-old Chihuahua mix, Chloe. After interviewing Robin, Pets of the Homeless found out Robin was currently residing in a shelter due to a previous domestic violence situation. She was receiving food stamps, social security, and she had a social worker who was helping her get out of homelessness. Robin informed us that Chloe had a hernia in her stomach and you could feel her intestines when you touched her. We approved an exam right away at a new partnering vet, Northside Veterinary Clinic.
After the examination, the doctor recommended and we approved a hernia removal surgery. Robin scheduled the surgery but the Friday prior to the surgery, we received a call from Robin’s Social Worker Nina Christensen, who informed us Robin was incarcerated and she was unsure what the next step was for Chloe. She said she currently had been taking care of the dog. We went ahead and paid for the hernia removal. We hoped that eventually that Chloe will be reunited with Robin.
From a Case worker for Chloe:
I wanted to take a quick moment and voice sincere appreciation of you and your staff! Accommodations and communication have been absolutely wonderful throughout this experience.
Thank you so much for your kind hearts, diligence, dedication and understanding as we navigate this situation!

First, I want you guys to know that I’m grateful for the help which you guys provided for my dog. Mandy was very helpful and guided me in the direction so that my dog could be seen by a vet. I called her at about 9:15 am and she found a vet in my area and She scheduled my appointment for 11am. When I arrived to Curtner Pet Clinic, everything was taken care of. Thanks to Pets Of The Homeless. Thanks once again” – Manuel
“Thank you again for your help with Frankie. She’s a huge hit with my fellow Veterans at VVSD.” –Pete
“I wanted to express my gratitude for the help I received from your organization today. I have been homeless for one month and was unable to afford my dog’s medication. Additionally, my dog had been attacked twice at the park by the same off-leash dog. I heard about your organization from a friend and called this morning. I was given the name of B Street Veterinary Hospital and told you would authorize the visit. Dr. Olson was very kind and checked his skin allergies, his dog bites and even the mysterious bumps that have appeared on his head. She called for authorization and was able to fill his allergy medication, flea medication, do his needed bloodwork, and reassure me that he was doing well. Without your help, none of this would have been possible. Being homeless is stressful in itself, so organizations like yours are a blessing for those of us with pets. I am so very thankful and hope I can pay it forward when I am back on my feet.” – Ruth
“God bless you for all the wonderful work you do, keep it up. I know how it is. I stay in my truck, with my pit bull Buddy. The love of my life. Thank you.” David, Montgomery, Alabama
