Success Story “Cloud”

An employed homeless man in the Eureka, CA area called Pets of the Homeless. He was referred to us by one of our network veterinarians. After interviewing the man, we learned he has been homeless for the past 6 months. He currently lives in his car with his 4-year-old Husky mix, Cloud. He parks his car in the National Forest area or public parking spots near a friend’s neighborhood. He informed us that he was worried about Cloud due to the fact she is acting very lethargic and hasn’t eaten in five days. We approved an exam at the local veterinarian who referred us.
After the examination, the doctor told us that Cloud had salmon poisoning. The doctor recommended and we approved: blood work, fluids, injections, and medications to send with him. We assisted with a total of $405.79 on Cloud.
