A homeless man currently living in his vehicle in Honolulu, HI has been homeless for the past year, is currently unemployed and receives food stamps. He contacted Feeding Pets of the Homeless for help after his dog, Jumper, an eight-month-old Chihuahua mix, tested positive for parvovirus. An intake was completed and his homelessness was verified. Due to the dog testing positive at a vet clinic that could not treat parvo a new exam was needed at another vet. The exam was approved at a partner veterinarian. It was reconfirmed Jumper had parvo and treatment was approved in the amount of $360. Feeding Pets of the Homeless received a partner discount in the amount of $86.
