A homeless woman who lives in a tent in San Jose, CA called Pets of the Homeless about her 5 year old Jack Russell Chihuahua mix, Mr. Speckles. Mr. Speckles was sneezing profusely and his nose was bleeding. She took him to an emergency veterinary clinic on Friday but she didn’t have the money to do any tests. The vet helped get the bleeding to stop.
Pets of the Homeless approved an examination. The veterinarian recommended to do a foxtail search. Pets of the Homeless assisted with blood work, sedation, foxtail search, and antibiotics. Mr. Speckles had a foxtail in his nose and it was removed.
